KARONGA UNITED SACK ZIMBABWEAN COACH

Karonga United have fired their Zimbabwean coach Lazarus Magaye after failing to collect full points in six matches.

Magaye is the first coach to lose his job in TNM Super League with Karonga lying second from bottom, having collected just three points.

Karonga lost 2-0 to Silver Strikers and also went down 1-0 to Blue Eagles. Kamuzu Barracks also inflicted pain on the lakeshore side, thumping it 3-1.

Chairman for the team, Matthews Tulombolombo confirmed the development saying they want to make the team back to its form and avoid relegation this season.

’’We have started poorly this season and we believe we have made a good decision. It is not too late. We hope the team will bounce back soon,” Tulombolombo said.

Magaya's target was to bring the league to Karonga but Nyambose has not been given any target.

Karonga finished on position five in last season’s TNM Super League.
