Beach Soccer speaks out after receiving threatening messages
Beach Soccer Association of Malawi (BSA) say they have been receiving threatening text messages from unknown people since the association nominated Fleetwood Haiya as the President in the upcoming Football Association of Malawi elections.
The secretary general of BSA, Wakisa Mwambetania, said this during the association's executive committee meeting in Salima District today.
Chimbalanga, who was joined by majority of the members of the association, mentioned two phone numbers that have been sending the threats.
Meanwhile, the president of BSA, Gift Chimbalanga, has insisted that they will not change their decision of voting Haiya even if some people threaten them.
Fleetwood Haiya and Water Nyamilandu will contest on the position of FAM presidency.
The Elective General Assembly will be held on Saturday, 16 December in Mzuzu.
