2023 TNM Super league season, gate revenue hits K916 million

Super League of Malawi (SULOM) President, Fleetwood Haiya has announced that TNM Super League revenue has almost doubled to at least K916 million from the previous season's K588 million.

Haiya made the announced during a press briefing at SULOM offices in Blantyre, where the association was giving the overview of the just ended season.

According to Haiya the just ended TNM Super league season has produced revenue of over K916 million compared to K588 millions of last season.

“The just ended season SULOM has generated K916 million from gate revenues from K588 of last season, its not a joke to reach this far and I must thank the entire executive team, the management of SULOM and everyone who was part of the project,” said Haiya.

Haiya also added that discussion with TNM is ongoing to increase the Sponsorship of the league since the country has been hit by devaluation.

"I need to thank our sponsors TNM who have been with us since 2006 and will continue to be with us in the coming seasons. Due to devaluation, we have engaged all our sponsors to increase funding to our league. Their feedback has been positive, come next season, I can assure you that the funding will be much more than it is right now,” Haiya said
