Blue Eagles relegated from TNM Super League

 

Blue Eagles Football Club has been relegated from the country’s Elite league after a 2-1 loss to MAFCO on Sunday at Nankhaka Stadium.

Blue Eagles went into the last game of the season at number nine and only needed a point to survive in the top flight, but failed to find the much-needed point.

Moyale Barracks secured a 13th place finish with a 7-0 victory over Red Lions, edging out Blue Eagles based on head-to-head statistics.

Moyale Barracks’ hard-fought win at Nankhaka stadium on August 19, 2023 was very vital for them as it gives them life in the elite league.

The area 30 based side finished as runners up in 2022 season, will spend the 2024 season in the Malawi’s second-tier league.

Others teams that have been relegated from TNM Super League are Extreme FC and Red Lions.
