‘I have never failed you”- Nyamilandu launches Bridging the gap manifesto

 



The Incumbent, Football Association of Malawi President, Walter Nyamilandu has launched, his manifesto of bridging the gap on Thursday with 8 main points based on developing football.

Unveiling his manifesto under the theme “bridging the gap” at BICC in Lilongwe, Nyamilandu said the main focus of his sixth term will be bridging gaps in administration, turning the Super League into a professional entity and improving players welfare.

According to Nyamilandu, his administration has already laid structures and foundation to transform the game of football, hence the next four years will be bridging the remaining gaps.

“I want to see Malawi National Team to go to the World Cup in the next 10 years, bridging the gap will start the process but for us to go to the world Cup we need to improve players incentives,” said Nyamilandu.

In infrastructural, Nyamilandu promised that FAM offices will be moved to Lilongwe as Mpira viĺage will be dedicated to Women’s Football.

On commercialisation, Nyamilandu mentioned that he will implement electronic ticketing and online ticketing.

He also said that he will trim the number of Super League teams from 16 to 12 in a bid to improve competition.

Nyamilandu will compete with Fleetwood Haiya for the position of FAM president in Forthcoming Elective General Assembly will be held on Saturday, 16 December in Mzuzu.
