Haiya to battle for FAM’s Presidency



Super League of Malawi (SULOM) president Fleetwood Haiya has announced that he will contest on the position of the Football Association of Malawi Presidency in the Forthcoming Elections.

Haiya announced this at a press briefing in Mzuzu, at Grand Palace Hotel on Sunday.

He said that this decision has come because he wants to transform Malawi’s football to greater heights.

“I hereby declare my interest to contest on presidential ticket. I have been driven by a shared vision and commitment to transform our football to great heights, “Said Haiya

Haiya said he will release his manifesto but during the briefing highlighted that he is seeking to bring dedicated, transparency and inclusiveness to safeguard the future of Malawi’s Football.

Meanwhile, the Northern Region Football Association has become the third affiliated Association to nominate Haiya for the FA’s Presidency.

The Elective General Assembly will be held on Saturday, 16 December in Mzuzu.
