MDF Lioness Crowned CRF FAM Women’s league Champions

MDF Lioness are Champions of the 2023 Central Region Football Association of Malawi Women’s League after beating Blue Eagles Ladies 5-1 on Sunday at Nankhaka Stadium.

The Lioness have finished the League with 37 points from 14 games, followed by Ascent Academy and Silver Strikers Ladies respectively.

Ascent academy were the champions of the 2022 season and the win means that Lioness has taken the reigns from the area 56 based side.

Meanwhile, Ntopwa FC and Moyale Sisters won the Southern Region and Northern Region Leagues respectively.

Three top teams from each region qualify for the National Championship and the teams that will battle in the national finals are FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women, Mighty Wanderers women, Topik Sisters, MK academy, Ntopwa FC, Moyale Sisters, Ascent Academy and Silver Strikers Ladies.
