FOMO's dream of Playing in Super league inches away , as they boot out Bullets reserve
The dream of Playing in TNM Super league for Friends of Mulanje Orphans team (FOMO) is still on as they have beaten FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve 2-0 on aggregate to reach the finals of Thumbs Up Southern Region Football League.
Two first leg goals from Happy Phiri and James Msowoya were enough for Fomo to reach the finals as the two teams played out to a goalless draw at Kamuzu Stadium on Wednesday in the second leg match.
Speaking after the match FOMO head Coach Mapopa Msukwa, said their dream is to play in the country’s elite league and they are well prepared for Sundays final game.
On his part, Bullets Reserve Coach, Enoss Chatama, said his players played well but they were just unlucky to find the back of the net.
Chatama also added that, he is satisfied with how his players have performed this year and has warned all the teams playing in the league that they should prepare well in the coming 2024 season as his team will be a force to reckon with.
The result means FOMO will play Ntopwa FC in the final on 28th of January 2024 at Kamuzu Stadium with the winner promoted into the TNM Super League while the junior people’s team will play against Zomba Air base in the third place.
